| Professional Golf Management Program (PGM) - Preliminary Procedures
The Site Profile and Information Form and the Coop Agreement Form
must be in place before a student can start an internship. Students
will work together with the Internship Coordinator throughout the
entire internship process from first contact through final evaluation
interview. Listed below are the policies and procedures to secure
internships:
- The Site Profile Form
The Site Profile Form is the first document that must be completed and returned to the PGM office. Listed below are the procedures to follow in order to set up a Student Internship:
- Students will work with the PGM Internship Coordinator to set up all Internships.
- The Internship Coordinator should always make first contact to an internship site.
- Students must register with EKU coop office prior to start of internship.
- Students will submit a resume and cover letter to the prospective site of the Internship, along with the Site Profile Form. This will serve as a formal proposal and request to a site. The Site Profile Form must be returned and evaluated by PGM Internship Coordinator before student can proceed with applying.
- The Coop Agreement Form
The Coop Agreement Form is the second document that must be completed and returned to the PGM office. Listed below are the procedures to follow
in order to set up a Student Internship:
- The Coop Agreement Form must be completed prior to the start of each Internship.
- The form must be signed by the Host Professional, Interning Student, and the EKU PGM Internship Coordinator or PGM Director in order to be valid.
- The respective level of PGA/PGM Inventory Checklist must be forwarded to the sie and must be agreed upon by the site
to work with the student to accomplish the work experience tasks in the student's current Education Level.
